We are situated in the commune of Cherves-Chatelars, in the department 16 Charente south west France. A perfect location for picnics and small wedding photos. It is a small village, surrounded by forests, and contains the ruins of a Cluniac priory and nearby there is a 12th century Romanesque church.
The moisture in the banks of the Bonnieure provide ideal ground for wild buttercups, campanula, bluebells and wild lilies to thrive. There is a bar/restaurant in the village, which renowned for its good home cooking, with no frills, in an authentically rustic setting.

RAIL: The TGV (0870 584 8848 www.raileurope.co.uk). Connects Lillie or Paris, Montparnasse with Angoulême. From Angoulême, Chasseneuil-sur-Bonnieure is half-an-hours drive away, along the N141.
AIR: Ryan Air (www.ryanair.com) have cheap daily flights into Limoges and on certain days into Angouleme. And from Belfast to Bordeaux. Flybe also have flights from Southampton to Limoges (www.flybe.com)
